Nancy is a certified end-of-life doula, credentialed through ABODE Contemplative Care San Antonio in March 2025. She brings her doula training into her work as the Volunteer Manager at CHRISTUS VNA Hospice where she has led volunteer program since 2023 and it’s currently building a death doula -based end-of-life care volunteering pilot program to bring companioned, presence-based end-of-life care into hospice continuum.

Nancy’s approach is rooted in a belief that difficult transitions can be met with presence, dignity, and service; for patients, families, and the volunteers who walk alongside them. She is also active in veteran-focused hospice initiatives, serving as the liaison with We Honor Veterans program and on the boards of the South-Central Texas Hospice Veterans Partnership and Friends of Hospice.
