About
Cryst’l Scheer is a NEDA-proficient end-of-life doula who is dedicated to advancing compassionate and client-centered end-of-life care through education, advocacy, and meaningful community engagement. With over eight years of hands-on hospice and end-of-life education experience, she blends practical expertise with a heartfelt approach rooted in dignity and respect for autonomy.
Cryst’l earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Oregon State University and has additional professional training as a Qualified Advance Directive Facilitator, Guided Autobiography Instructor, and Legacy Navigator. She has completed professional end-of-life doula training programs with Peaceful Presence, University of Vermont, and INELDA.
Cryst’l founded Summit Care Partners in 2022, providing education, planning, and support for various end-of-life topics to individuals, families, and organizations remotely and in-person. She believes it is never too early to start proactively preparing for a thoughtful and intentional final stage of life.
As a founding co-chair of the Virginia End-of-Life Doula Collective, an end-of-life doula instructor with the University of Vermont, and a regional discussion facilitator with NEDA, Cryst’l believes that fostering professional growth and connection with other end-of-life doulas will strengthen the impact of their work. She supports collective collaborations that create space for education, resource-sharing, and emotional support, helping end-of-life doulas to better serve their clients and community.
When she’s not working, Cryst’l enjoys road trips, hazelnut lattes, and Halloween.
