Carla Archuletta
About
Carla Archuletta, MA, LPC/MHSP-S, FT, NCC is a licensed professional counselor, mental health service provider, and Fellow in Thanatology with more than a decade of experience in grief, trauma, and end-of-life care. She holds an End-of-Life Doula Professional Certificate from the University of Vermont and specializes in oncology-related counseling, bereavement support, and meaning-centered end-of-life education.
Carla’s work is rooted in the belief that no one should face death, dying, or grief alone. In her private practice and as a doula, she provides compassionate, evidence-based support that honors each individual’s cultural, spiritual, and relational needs. Her approach integrates clinical science, lived experience, and spiritual companioning at the threshold of life and death.
In addition to her clinical practice, Carla is a faculty member in the University of Vermont’s End-of-Life Doula Professional Certificate Program, where she teaches and mentors doulas in training. She is also a national speaker and educator, frequently presenting on grief, loss, death, and dying to healthcare professionals and community audiences.
Through counseling, teaching, and doula practice, Carla companions individuals and families with presence, dignity, and compassion—helping them navigate the complexities of illness, loss, and transition while finding connection and meaning.
