Cheeraz Gormon
About
Cheeraz Gormon is an award-winning writer, poet, actress, and storyteller who works in various storytelling and visual arts mediums. Following the tragic loss of her brother, John Gormon, Jr., Cheeraz founded Sibling Support Network, an organization dedicated to assisting people who have lost siblings to violent crime. Following the death of her paternal grandmother, whom she assisted during her dying process, Cheeraz decided to pursue an education as an end-of-life doula formally. She received her End-of-Life Doula Certificate through the University of Vermont in 2022. Cheeraz established the spiritual and social care practice at the Bullet Related Injury Clinic (The B.R.I.C) in St. Louis, MO, from late 2021-2023, and served as Lead Transformative Justice Practitioner on the Alternatives to Incarceration Team at Freedom Community Center in St. Louis, MO, from September 2024 – January 2026. She is now a full-time writer, consultant, and end-of-life doula based out of St. Louis, MO, while handling the daily task of running Sibling Support Network.
