Chris Eaton

End-of-Life Doula
New Port Richey, Florida, USA

About

Chris Eaton is a Death Doula, ordained minister, author, speaker, and U.S. Army veteran serving individuals and families throughout the Greater Tampa Bay area and beyond. His work centers on non-medical end-of-life and spiritual care, bedside presence, anticipatory grief, caregiver support, meaningful life review, ceremony, and helping people navigate the emotional and existential questions that often arise around serious illness, dying, and loss.

Chris approaches end-of-life care through presence, compassionate listening, dignity, and respect for each person’s beliefs, values, story, and wishes. He believes that supporting the dying is also about supporting the living—creating space for honest conversations, unfinished words, reconciliation, meaning, and connection.

His preparation includes Life, Death & Transition / Death Doula training through Fundación Elisabeth Kübler-Ross México, a Master of Theology & Biblical Studies, ongoing doctoral studies in theology, and additional training in meditation, breathwork, nervous-system regulation, energy medicine, and spiritual care.

Chris also serves on the board of the Florida End-of-Life Doula Association (FEOLDA) and works within the broader end-of-life community through education, advocacy, speaking, and community outreach.

His perspective has been shaped by military service and combat, emergency and crisis environments, extensive travel, theological and contemplative study, trauma recovery, and the privilege of accompanying people through some of life’s most vulnerable moments.

His philosophy is simple: “I sit with the dying. I walk with the living.”

“Don’t wait for death to wake you up.”
