About
I am a Licensed Practical Nurse and co-founder of Guiding Sol Doula Services in Central Virginia, where I walk alongside individuals and families as they prepare for and navigate the final chapters of life. With a background in nursing and years of experience coordinating complex medical care, I bring both a clinical understanding and a compassionate presence to my work as a death doula.
At Guiding Sol, I focus on advance care planning, vigil support, funeral and memorial preparation, grief support, and legacy projects. My goal is always to meet people where they are, offering resources, guidance, and a steady presence so they feel seen, heard, and supported.
I also serve as a board member and secretary for the Virginia End-of-Life Doula Collective, where I collaborate with fellow doulas to expand awareness, education, and professional support across our community. Beyond my doula practice, I am a co-author of Dying to Talk About It, a workbook designed to help individuals complete their own advance directive and preserve important end-of-life wishes.
I believe that end-of-life care is not only about planning but also about honoring each person’s story, relationships, and dignity. It is a privilege to be invited into such sacred moments and to help families find peace, meaning, and connection during one of life’s most tender times.
