I have recently finished school for my Certification as an End-of-Life Doula/Death Doula/Death Mid-Wife & will be accepting private clientele as well as starting my own private practice centered on community education regarding the conversation of death & dying. I am competent in providing services to everyone on the spectrum of life & death. From someone looking to complete an Advance Directive while still healthy to someone who is actively transitioning from life to death. I can provide employee education for doctor’s offices of any type, hospice & palliative care staff, long term care facilities, community events, short seminars at college or university campuses as well as private events for small groups (like a Death Cafe). I can help people identify the Physical, Emotional, Spiritual and Practical Dimensions around death & dying, while facilitating active & meaningful conversation. I am also an RN with experience in Neuro ICU, E.R., Hospice/Palliative care, Long Term Care, Memory Care, Post Acute Rehab & Home Healthcare. I am also a Certified Home Health RN Case Manager & have an A.A.S. as a Medical Assistant. Former PCT, RMA, CNA, Green Cross Certified 1st Responder & Red Cross Certified Lifeguard.
I have a wife of 22 years & 2 children, ages 13 & 21. I enjoy reading, puzzles, brain teasers, movies, all types of music, dancing, writing short stories, archery, canoeing, biking & going for walks. I am a theologian having read about many religious & spiritual beliefs from many diverse cultures, including mainstream beliefs like Catholicism, Judaism & Islam to Native American Spirituality, Pagan Spirituality & Eastern Philosophies such as Buddhism & Hinduism. I am also a student of Chakra therapy & meditation. I have committed myself to being a lifelong learner & servant leader who will serve any person in my community without judgment or bias.
