Mystery Washburn-Gauthier
About
I have walked alongside grief since childhood. At just 11 years old, I sat with my great-grandmother during her final days — frightened and struggling to let go — and offered her these words: “This is what everyone does. We love you. You don’t have to fight it and keep suffering. I will take care of Mom and Grandma. We are going to be okay.” She passed peacefully within the week. That moment shaped who I am today.
Now 39, I am the person people turn to when facing death, dying, and loss. Warm, grounded, and deeply comfortable with end-of-life experiences, I bring a calm, non-judgmental presence to some of life’s most tender moments. Those who know me describe me as easy to talk to, open-minded, and genuinely comforting.
Trained with INDELA, I work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, honoring the full spectrum of beliefs, values, and traditions. I am a respectful advocate for personal autonomy at end of life, including support for MAID (Medical Aid in Dying) and VSED (Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking). My approach is patient, empathetic, and always tailored to the individual — because no two journeys are the same.
I offer thoughtfully designed packages as well as fully customized support to meet each person’s unique needs and wishes. A sliding fee scale and pro bono work ensure that compassionate end-of-life care is accessible to all, because I believe every person deserves this kind of support.
