About
I have always lived by the motto “Live like you are dying”. In my younger years that came with some recklessness. As I gained some maturity and wisdom, it became a way of being more present in life. My goal it help others do the same by finding meaning in life, and peace in passing. I became a dental assistant when I was a young mom. I was drawn to that career path because I wanted to help people be as comfortable as possible with a situation their feared. I feel the same way about helping people face death. No matter if active and well or if we have received a life ending diagnosis, we all die. Why are we afraid? Why don’t we talk about it and make plans for the best death possible? I can’t answer that but together we can get curious and talk openly about dying. More people are wanting to die at home but families are no longer prepared for that. This is just area where death doulas can offer education and support. Walking someone to and through their death has been an honor. I look forward to being of service and a source of information, comfort and guidance to others. Namaste
