Kirby Lee

End-of-Life Doula
Woodstock, New York, USA

About

Kirby Lee is a life, death, and transition doula and spiritual care provider based in Woodstock, NY, serving individuals and families throughout the Hudson Valley. Her work is rooted in the arts of companionship—deep listening, attunement, curiosity, and respect for the unique process of each person and family she accompanies.

Kirby’s path into death care began while living in Central Mexico, where she trained and worked alongside life, death, and transition doulas through the Elisabeth Kübler-Ross Foundation. Since returning to the U.S., she has worked as a doula and caregiver with Hudson Valley Hospice, supported individuals and families at community life-and-death care homes including East Mountain House and Circle Home for the Dying, and co-founded Seventh Sense, a land-based community death care home. She also works privately with families and coordinates caregiver teams and collaborative circles of care.

Her offerings include end-of-life doula and spiritual care, contemplative care planning, caregiver and family support, peer grief support, dream work, VSED accompaniment, vigil, after-death care, and home funeral guidance. She works collaboratively with hospice and medical providers while tending to the emotional, spiritual, relational, and practical dimensions of dying and transition.

Kirby is a certified Doula, Home Health Aide and completed Clinical Pastoral Education through Yangti Yoga, with clinical chaplaincy experience at St. Peter’s Hospital. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia. Before entering death care, she spent fifteen years working closely with artists in the music industry, an experience that continues to inform her care through listening, creativity, improvisation, and trust in process.
