Kristen P. Patterson is the founder of Sacred Journey Death Doula. Based in Arlington, Virginia, she provides culturally responsive services that center connection, compassion, reverence, and joy for clients in Northern Virginia, the DMV, and virtually. Kristen brings a background in public health, environmental conservation, and well-honed advocacy skills to her work. She provides comprehensive services for clients on their final journey, facilitates end-of-life planning, hosts nature walks that demystify death and connect people with their mortality, and offers online workshops on various death-related topics. She served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger, West Africa and has worked in 25 countries. Kristen is a certified death doula and end of life planner through Going with Grace. In addition, she earned an online death doula certificate from the IAP Career College.
