I have been a nurse for over 30 years. I became interested in End of Life issues from personal and work related experiences. I wanted to know how to help support people (and myself) navigate through the myriad of issues that arise as we age and go through the end of our lives. It can be difficult and it can be rewarding and most of us could really use some extra support. I talk to my clients and find out what they feel are their needs and we start there. Whether it is; getting their “Affairs”/paperwork in order or wanting to make a video for their grandkids, they need a sounding board, deciding on what to do with their body after death or how to help their family or support system after they die. However, we do try to circle around and address the whole person overall such as physical aspects, emotional, social, spiritual etc. so that person can hopefully get to a more peaceful place going through their own end of life journey. Each person I get the honor to be with has taught me an enormous amount and I am grateful for that for myself and to be able to use that possibly with the next person.
