Nonie A Rispin
About
My name is Nonie Rispin, and I am the founder of Loving Presence End-of-Life Care, a practice created from compassion, lived experience, and a deep belief that every person deserves comfort, dignity, and peace at the end of life. My journey toward this calling began in the most personal way imaginable. In the final hours of my father’s life, I learned firsthand how difficult it can be when families are not prepared for the end-of-life process. My mother, overwhelmed by grief and fear, could not bring herself to have those necessary conversations about his wishes. Suddenly, I was the one who had to make impossible decisions in the space of just a few hours, decisions that would shape his final moments. It was scary, painful, and transformative. I remember wishing there had been someone there to help us navigate it all, someone calm, knowledgeable and kind. Someone who could have guided us through both the practical and emotional aspects of saying goodbye.
Through Loving Presence End-of-Life Care, I now offer the kind of gentle, grounded guidance I once needed myself. As an End-of-Life Doula, I provide non-medical emotional, spiritual, and practical support to both individuals nearing the end of life and the loved ones who walk that path with them. My work centers around presence, truly being with someone, without judgment or fear and helping families find comfort, meaning, and clarity during a time that can feel uncertain and overwhelming.
My approach is holistic and deeply personal. Every client’s journey is unique, and I tailor my services to honor their beliefs, values, and emotional needs. That might mean sitting quietly at the bedside, assisting with legacy projects or advance care planning, providing respite for caregivers, or simply listening and holding space for whatever arises.
