Hello, I am Marty Pechauer. As the Dallas EOL Coach, I work with seriously ill people and their families to reduce the suffering and anxiety that comes with profound illness. I am here to support, guide, and coach families & friends through what is arguably the most intimate, vulnerable, and personal stage of life.

As my mentor says, “Most suffering happens in the time after treatment stops working and before someone is referred to hospice.” This is “the in-between time,” when individuals and families need guidance and support that isn’t often offered through most medical practices.

My mission is to provide compassionate support to individuals and families navigating what may become their end-of-life journey. My goal is to empower my clients to make decisions and create plans that align with their values, allowing them to focus on what matters most to them. The people who hire me can be the individual who is facing a life-threatening illness, but is more typically the primary caregiver, or a family member who wants to make sure that the primary caregiver isn’t overwhelmed.

• Processing thoughts and emotions after an advanced illness diagnosis and addressing anticipatory grief
• Building a plan to obtain the best quality of life through supportive care while living with advanced illness

• Advocacy for the patient and family

• Crafting ways to coordinate communication and support plans with the family and your larger support group
• Non-medical respite care and companionship
