End-of-Life Doula

About

Michele is a certified End-of-Life Doula, Elder Care Doula and Doula Care Consultant and former educator/education consultant with 28 years of experience educating youth and adults. Michele earned her doula certifications through the International Doulagivers Institute, founded by Suzanne B. O’Brien, RN and CEO in the spring of 2025.

Michele felt called to serve as an end-of-life practitioner by conviction due to serving as her father’s caregiver while he was on hospice and prior to his passing in August 2025. It was this impactful experience with her father that fostered profound empathy, served as a catalyst that revealed a need and ignited a desire for Michele to serve.

Michele’s scope of practice is defined by the provision of holistic, non-medical support – addressing the emotional, physical and spiritual dimensions of care. Her work as an end-of-life practitioner is to normalize conversations about death through open dialog, education and planning, provide comfort and steady presence to those with a serious illness, and help families navigate through specific stages of their loved one’s journey. Personalized end-of-life supports are provided to meet each client’s values, preferences, needs and goals. Michele currently serves clients in Hancock, Seneca, and Wyandot counties in Northwest Ohio.
