About

For twenty years I was a professional capacity builder, providing transformative assistance for organizations, communities, and families throughout the United States, Mexico and Peru. Doula work is capacity building at its most personal and familial scale, neighbors helping neighbors. I began to focus my work in living well and dying well after a transformative experience supporting my grandmother in her end-of-life journey. She was in rural Oregon, where support can be hardest to find. I stayed on-site through her final months: coordinating her care circle, navigating and advocating for her through systems, keeping the household running, and holding space for the family even as I stayed closely attuned to her own needs, wishes, and the pieces of legacy she wanted remembered.
Neighbors Nomadas is a traveling lifespan doula service and community care initiative. I come to you — whether that means arriving at your doorstep, staying on-site through a significant passage, traveling alongside you on a meaningful journey, or connecting remotely to plan and prepare. My mission is to compassionately companion our fellow humans in preparing for and navigating the transformative crossroads of their lifespan. I seasonally rotate between the Pacific Northwest, Southwest and Midwest. I have the ability to serve remote areas, stay on-site, and/or support caravan with snowbirds and nomads with my custom van. My services include: Advance Care Planning, Care Circle Coordination, Caregiver Respite, Companion Care, Legacy Projects, Diagnosis / EOL Journeys, as well as personalized integrated planning and practical support for aging, health, and major life transitions.

My Credentials are from Oregon: Professional Presence End-of-Life Doula from The Peaceful Presence Project ~ Oregon Home Care Commission Professional Certification ~ Oregon Department of Human Services Homecare Provider
