About

I bring over twenty years of experience building trust across communities, first as an educator and program director working with Indigenous nations, cultural institutions, and academic communities. My doctoral work in educational leadership and my career guiding people through learning and cultural transitions has given me strong skills in listening, being present, and holding space for others’ experiences with dignity and respect. These same qualities have shaped how I cared for my mother, from her cancer diagnosis to her final days in hospice. I, also had the honor of helping to support a close friend through his final days, sitting with hard truths, honoring what mattered most to him, and being a steady presence when he needed one. That experience showed me how profoundly meaningful it is to accompany someone through the end of life, and it is what draws me to formal training as a death doula. I want to bring my capacity for cultural sensitivity, calm leadership, and genuine human connection to families and individuals navigating death and dying.
