About

Hello,

I work specifically with clients who are considering accessing their right to Medical Aid in Dying (MAID) in Vermont and in the District of Columbia. I endeavor to make the journey less difficult by helping to provide education and information, to guide clients and their families through the logistics, as well as providing emotional support throughout the entire process to the client and their family.

I am a therapist, a licensed social worker in VT, DC, MD and VA, an End of Life Doula trained by the University of Vermont, the International End of Life Doula Association, and the Academy of Aid in Dying Medicine. I volunteer on the Board of End of Life Options DC in DC www.eolodc.org, as a Helpline Volunteer with Patient Choices Vermont in VT www, patient choices.org and as a Hospice Volunteer with Montgomery County Hospice in MD.

I work in partnership with another therapist, social worker and End of Life Doula, Licia Berry Berard. https://www.liciaberryberardlicsw.com/ Together, we work to provide our clients with a compassionate and empowered end of life experience.

Please reach out if we can offer any information or answer questions about Medical Aid in Dying. We’re happy to help with a free consultation call or via email.

Warmly,
Rachel
