As a human who has said goodbye to beloved friends and family members, I know how scary and unwelcome death can be and also how welcome it can be at the end of a long illness. In my work as a death doula, I have accompanied those who are dying and their loved ones through the heart wrenching, brave, powerful and transformational work of saying goodbye. I understand how simply being accompanied well, decreases fear and suffering for all involved and can transform the dying experience into once of sacred presence and powerful witness.
I completed my EOLD training through the International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA) in 2019 and have served several clients and families through the various stages of death and dying.
Before coming to this work, I had a long career as a physical therapist working with infants and families. In addition to my EOLD training, I am also a practicing spritual director and Enneagram practitioner. Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, I broadened my horizons by moving to Seattle for a few years before falling love, marrying and making my home in Minneapolis 32 years ago. I love the outdoors, hiking, biking, exploring new places, learning, reading and spending time with beloved friends and family.
