About

Scott Burnam (he/him) is an INELDA-trained End-of-Life Doula and founder of Reverent Ridge End-of-Life Care in Phoenix, Arizona. Guided by the philosophy “Honoring every story; guiding every step,” Scott provides compassionate, non-medical support, practical preparation, and steady emotional grounding for individuals, caregivers, and families navigating life’s final transitions.

His path to doula care was shaped at the bedsides of his grandmother and mother. Accompanying them through clinical dying processes revealed how vital gentle presence, advance preparation, and values-centered advocacy are during end-of-life transitions.

Reverent Ridge offers a full spectrum of non-clinical end-of-life doula support:
* Advance Care Planning: Healthcare power of attorney, living wills, values exploration, and comfort care directives.
* Legacy Projects & Life Review: Ethical wills, guided storytelling, audio memory recordings, and keepsake creation.
* Bedside Vigil & Active Dying Care: Creating tranquil physical and sensory environments, continuous bedside presence, and family respite alongside hospice teams.
* Grief Companionship: Empathetic, non-clinical post-death guidance and support for all forms of loss, including disenfranchised grief.
*Eco-Friendly Guidance: Support exploring green burials, natural organic reduction (human composting), and aquamation options.

Reverent Ridge is completely faith-agnostic, honoring every worldview without imposing dogma. Scott specializes in providing safe, affirmative care for the LGBTQIA+ community (honoring chosen families and personal identities), secular families, and those practicing earth-based spiritualities (including Pagan, Wiccan, Druid, and other nature-centric traditions).

In-person support is centered across Greater Phoenix, with virtual planning and grief companionship available nationwide.
