About

Like most of us, I have an intimate relationship with grief: and after back to back significant losses in 2020, chose to dive deep into studying about death, dying, grief and loss. I have been a Registered Nurse and Trauma-Educated Yoga Teacher for more than 10 years, a Death Doula since 2022, and have had the honor of being at the bedside of the dying both personally and professionally since attending high school. After a few decades of weaving through this work, I’ve lovingly combined my passion and wisdom from all three educational/vocational avenues into a holistic approach to individual and community grief support. I facilitate groups and classes that have a heart and soul.

My inspiration comes from working with hospice patients as a nurse & volunteer, from guiding yoga & mediation students, and from staying connected to the sense that we can turn our pain into purpose through being of service. A passion near and very dear to my heart is the non-profit organization, Waves of Grief/Audrey Ellis Foundation. Founded in response to the loss of her beloved sister and avid surfer, Kelsey Ellis channeled her deep grief into a collective of national and international practitioners that support healing in community. Each month, we facilitate spaces where the ocean and nature help guide us as we navigate our inevitable waves of grief.

Advance Directives are my newest deep dive in learning along with end-of-life planning to support those choosing the medical aid in dying option. Amongst all the griefy-ness, I find joy in searching for the best chocolate chip sea salt cookie, road tripping with my husband & golden retriever, reading in the desert sunshine and grooving to live music.
