El Último Abrazo is an organization dedicated to the education, training, and certification of End-of-Life Doulas, committed to fostering a culture of compassionate companionship, dignity, and respect during the dying process.
Our mission is to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and values ​​needed to provide emotional, practical, spiritual, and educational support to those facing serious illness, the end of life, or grief, as well as to their families and communities.
All our training programs are conducted entirely in Spanish, ensuring accessible and culturally relevant learning for the Spanish-speaking community worldwide.
Our programs combine theoretical foundations with practical tools in compassionate communication, end-of-life companionship, grief support, advance care planning, legacy building, ethics, spirituality, self-care, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
As part of their learning journey, students receive study manuals, reading materials, educational aids, and exclusive resources—all carefully developed to strengthen their academic and practical preparation and enable them to acquire the competencies needed to provide professional, compassionate support.
The training is designed for healthcare professionals, social workers, religious ministers, chaplains, caregivers, volunteers, and anyone who feels called to support others during one of life’s most significant moments.
In addition to certification, El Último Abrazo develops community education programs, conferences, workshops, and educational resources that foster open conversations about death, dying, grief, and legacy, helping to reduce the fear and stigma that still surround these topics.
