About
I am a death doula, grief guide and connector for people back to their roots with nature and medicinal plants. My philosophy on death and grief is that the person dying or grieving (or their family) are the ones navigating the vessel. You are the captain.
The role of a doula and a guide is to bring comfort while highlighting the needs and wisdom of the one in transition. My place is to support in ways that we determine together that will be non-intrusive, calming and what you need.
I see death as a threshold into a new cycle, a doorway that we cross individually, yet we are pulled by ancestors before us and need to be supported by the living around us to walk through. Though I believe in a spiritual, cyclical nature of all transitions, I do not push my own beliefs onto clients.
I support dying people and/or the loved ones of those dying through emotional, psychologically and logistical ways. I am an end of life planner guide, can support at bedside with vigil, help navigate and find empowerment prior to death for medical care. I aid in decisions on body disposition and end of life choices and memorials.
Death and Dying is not fair and just for all, given the system and world we all are living in. I support and celebrate all people and their lifestyle, love choices, gender, social status and all black, indigenous and bodies of culture.
