Kira Somach is a certified End-of-Life Doula based in the St. Louis area, dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the final chapter of life with clarity, compassion, and intention. She received her End-of-Life Doula certification through Eden Theological Seminary and brings over 13 years of experience in senior care, where she led growth, community outreach, and partnership development across the post-acute healthcare continuum.

Kira’s work is grounded in the belief that conversations about death can be meaningful, empowering, and even healing when approached with openness and care. Through her practice, she provides personalized, non-medical support that complements hospice and palliative care teams. Her services include, legacy and life review work, guided conversations, emotional and spiritual support, and bedside presence during active dying plus post death guidance and support.

In addition to one-on-one support, Kira facilitates community workshops titled “Let’s Talk About the D Word,” creating safe, engaging spaces for individuals and families to explore end-of-life topics that are often avoided. She is also the author of the “End of Life Love Notes” series, offering guided tools to help people express what matters most.
