About
I have a fulltime job as a Human Resources Manager and a pt job as a companion caregiver. I’ve been with my 90-year-old client for 3 years; she’s blind and lives in a memory care facility. It’s because of her that I recently got a certificate in Cuddle Therapy started a professional cuddling business called Therapeutic Snuggles. One of the services I offer is End-of-Life Cuddling. Lately my client has been discussing death with me, so I’ve been researching the role of a death doula because I want to learn how to help her have a peaceful experience. I just signed up to volunteer for the No Veteran Dies Alone program in my area as well as Hospice. I had to wait one year before I could volunteer because my mom passed away on January 1, 2025. I stayed with her in the hospital for the 3 days she was on comfort care, and it made me realize that many people will die alone in this world and if I can be there for someone to comfort them and make it less stressful and scary for them and their loved ones, that would be a blessing.
